Taylor “Big Red” Service Training classes are open to Taylor servicing dealers and qualified end-users of Taylor equipment. Service training classes offer a detailed analysis and study of all electrical, hydraulic, and air circuits employed on a particular Taylor model(s) being instructed. The engine, transmission, drive, and steer axles are covered, as well as all basic preventive maintenance. The most complex issues (electrical and hydraulic) are fully covered in any class allowing the student to learn or better understand the most difficult systems.

Factory Trained Certification is being offered in conjunction with service training classes. Testing is conducted on the last day of each training date. All service training classes will begin on the Tuesday of each date with dismissal on Thursday. Dates for the service training classes to be held at the plant facility in Louisville, Mississippi for 2024 are as follows. Additional classes will be scheduled throughout the year based on requests and/or new releases.

Enrollment is handled on a first-come-first-served basis and is subject to availability. Enrollment reservations should be made as soon as possible. Please call or email the service training coordinator for availability. Pending enrollments, a reminder of the service training class and the class date will be emailed before the class, allowing ample time for travel arrangements.

Service training classes are conducted on current production Taylor machines. Additional classes may be added to the service training schedule throughout the year based on requests and/or as maintenance manuals are completed for new series machines. Please periodically check the training schedule on our website for these classes. Anyone seeking service training on a particular Taylor model(s) not listed in the 2024 training schedule should contact the service training coordinator. If you are seeking remote service training at your facility, please contact your local Taylor servicing dealer or the service training coordinator for details.

TAYLOR "BIG RED" SERVICE TRAINING CLASSES ARE RESERVED FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE TAYLOR GROUP OF COMPANIES, EMPLOYEES OF TAYLOR SERVICING DEALERS, OR APPROVED EMPLOYEES OF TAYLOR END USERS AND ARE NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
For Questions or More Information

For all training classes, Taylor follows CDC guidelines for COVID-19. Classrooms and common areas as well as high-touch surfaces are sanitized regularly. Team members or class attendees who are sick or have symptoms are encouraged to stay home and not attend class. Classes are being limited to a maximum number of students to practice social distancing. Masks are not mandatory; however, they are encouraged. It is at the student’s own discretion to wear a mask while indoors even if they have been fully vaccinated. An evaluation of the positivity rate of COVID-19 cases will be made prior to our service training classes. If at that time we feel that it is unsafe to be in a classroom environment, classes will be conducted virtually. In the event it is decided that an onsite service training class is to be conducted virtually, the $100 enrollment fee remains nonrefundable if the student withdraws from the class (see Cost of Training). However, advanced classes will be postponed to a later date due to advanced classes being hands-on. The nonrefundable enrollment fee is nonapplicable.

Virtual training is conducted via Microsoft Teams. Students are required to have a valid email address and internet connection. While a camera and microphone are not necessary, it is recommended for the student to communicate vocally with the instructor and other students. Prior to the class, the student will be sent an email with an invitation for the training and a download link for the virtual service training package. The service training package includes electronic copies of the following for the model being instructed: a set of schematics, an operator’s guide, a safety manual, and a maintenance manual as well as other pertinent training information. Factory Trained Certification is being offered in conjunction with virtual training classes. Students wishing to take the Taylor certification program may do so online.
